Tradescantia Lavender is the most beautiful lavender color, of course. A soft, delicate, trailing plant arching upwards at first and down as the stems get longer; it has a graceful shape. The jaunty, almond-shaped leaves striped in every combo of green and white are washed overall in a soft violet glow. Undersides of the leaves are a bright orchid purple. Native to South America where it runs around as a groundcover, it has found it useful to have little rootlets ready to go on the leaf joints, or they sprout them quickly to steady them and advance their invasion of new soil. That makes rooting stems that fall off a matter of just a few days. Bright light and humidity keep this beauty's colors brightest.
