Gold Dust is aptly named given the brilliant yellow & white speckles splashed all over the emerald green leaves. This hardy Croton comes to us from the subtropical regions of the Pacific islands and Asia. Growing up to a 10' specimen in its natural habitat, we can expect a more reasonable size of 2' to 3' tall as a houseplant. The thin woody stems support a multitude of leaves growing all around each stem in all directions, giving the plant a pleasing fullness. To keep the variegation bright, the Gold Dust prefers bright light. Not to worry, as it grows taller, it will continue to get fuller, but will naturally drop some leaves now and then. This plant is a cheerful choice and adds a ton of color to any collection.
