4" Senecio Jacobsenii 'Trailing Jade'

We have run out of stock for this item.

Senecio Jacobsenii was first described by a couple of German horticulturists in Africa where it grows as a crawling groundcover, with African natives using the leaves as a treatment for their cattles' fleas. Fat, fleshy stems sprout spoon shaped leaves of satiny, smooth, medium green crowding and leaning on each other. In a pot you can expect to have around 4' of nice trailing stems. They are so hardy they happily can tolerate freezing cold to blazing sun. Colder weather brings a pretty, purply blush to the leaves. Bright orange dandelion type flowers decorate the stems often.
