It's not clear who developed this pretty cultivar but we're glad they did. Growing mostly like other Calatheas, you can expect around 12\" high or so, and a full figure, leaves rising rolled in the center, sheathed in a rosy wine color (actually the color of the leaf's underside). As they open they swirl to the side, circling the stem, each leaf wanting a clear view of the ambient light. To describe the leaves, we'll start in the middle with a bright pink midrib on a wide oval of a milky, sea green occupying most of the leaf with a feathery, scalloppy hem, finishing with a generous edge band of deep pine green. a multitude of very skinny emerald green side veins emanate from the midrib to the edge, like they were brushed on. Each leaf has a gentle wave where the stronger green side veins are and ripple the leaf as if someone dropped a stone in a pond.
