Dracaena Golden Heart has some real curb appeal. Similar in aspect to Massangeana, it has stiffer, shorter foliage, while sharing the same piquant colors. Dashing, green leaves with bold, acid yellow stripes down the middle poke up at a more jaunty angle than Massangeana, borne on woody trunks which will reach up to 6' tall. Different trunks with different heights, each with its own tufty heads, makes these characters look like they should have big jungle snakes hanging off them. The botanical name Deremensis means fragrant, referring to the elusive bouquets of frilly white flowers with an enchanting, magic spell of a perfume which can appear in older plants.
