The word  xerographica is Greek for "dry writing." Xerographica is certainly a dry fellow, crispy and parched feeling to the touch, almost looking like it's not alive. Not only vibrantly alive and growing, these guys can grow up to a yard across perched in the tall trees and blazing sun of the dry forests of their natal Central America. Can you just imagine what a three foot specimen would look like in a tree? Like a fountain, the pointy, sage green, strappy leaves emerge from the center and flow out to end in wild curlicues. Needing only occasional misting a couple of times a week, this is a super easy guy to have. Sitting in a shallow pot or plate, atop the soil of another potted plant, in a terrarium or glass jar, and super fun in an abalone shell, Xerographica is at home anywhere. The little roots at the base of the plant are for attachment purposes only and can be ignored. Cute little pups may appear that can be separated and grown on their own. The blooms that show up on a particularly happy plant are on a spike with chartreuse, red and purples and really beautiful.
