Peperomia
Peperomia plants are native to tropical jungles as so many of our houseplants are. In nature, they climb large plants and trees and live on their trunks. With over 1000 types, there are plenty of shapes and colors to choose from. Sometimes called the "Baby Rubber Tree", many varieties have rounded rubbery leaves. Most Peperomias grow like small bushes with succulent-like leaves decorated with stripes, wrinkles and assorted colors. Their flowers are nondescript; usually just small spikes that rise out of the plants periodically. Peperomias are typically small plants, making them perfect for desks, counters and tables.
