Natives of Mexico, these stars are so popular they have been harvested and ubercollected to the point of being endangered, partly because of their looking just like Peyote. Habitat loss is a big factor too. Nonetheless, we have plenty on hand for you. The main event is a smooth, rounded dome in soft green featuring evenly spaced, fuzzy, off white dots, emerging from a vanishing point in the top marching down the sides in 8 lines; each dot concealing a short thorn. 8 longitudinal creases scribe the plant top to bottom between the dots and if that's not enough for you, lines of tiny, white polka dots wind around everywhere else. Glorious flowers are large, frilly poufs like Dandelions in pale, cream yellow, some with a scarlet center and a teeny, frilly, yellow flower in the middle. Some of those frills are dipped in a sketchy black shading and some have a pale rose line written on the tip. Slow growing and patient, he doesn't need much to keep happy, and when he's really really happy, those amazing flowers burst out.

Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Low (1): Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
- High - (5): Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
- Difficulty - Low (1): These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
