4" Cotyledon Tomentosa

$8.00

Bear Paw Cotyledon is from the Little Karoo desert region of South Africa in wild places of rocky quartz soil and little rainfall. In its native habitat it grows up to 20" tall, leggy and stemmy sometimes. Our little, young pots of Bear Paw are pots filled with glowing, milky, celadon green, puffy paws all reaching upwards. He's also  "covered in hair" (the meaning of the name Cotyledon); hair so fine it's like white velvet. Each puffy, fat little paw is tipped with soft, pinkish cream points like soft, baby bear claws. As the plant grows, fleshy stems closely hold pairs of leaves, making a small bushy plant, always so full. Pinch for shape, pinched stems root super fast. Little stems like lampposts rise up and hold clusters of peachy orange bells when he's happy.

  • Drought Tolerant
  • Low Maintenance

Quick Care Guide:

    • Water - Low (1):  Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
    • High - (5):  Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
    • Difficulty - Low (1):  These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
