4" Tradescantia Spathacea 'Moses in the Cradle'

$6.00
Moses in the Cradle comes from the West Indies and Central America, where it grows thickly as a groundcover. In warmer states of the US it is also cultivated in the ground. In a pot and up close, the sword shaped leaves of purple and green hues with underleaves of gleaming, brightest purple are worth getting to know. Variegated Moses plants add in a sublime lavender to the green striping. The flowers are the real attraction, though, with little, purple, almond shaped "boats" with teeny white flowers inside, resembling little baby Moses in his snug, little, water basket boat floating on the Nile.
