6" Neoregelia Fireball

$12.00

Neoregelia Fireball is a real ball of fire. Fiery, red sprays of stiff leaves are arranged like little fireworks. Each plant will send out stolons, stems that grow sideways and sprout out new sprays to form whole family reunions of plants in the pots. These plant friends can be left alone or separated to make new plants. Kept in lower light conditions, Fireball will be greener, but bright light will red it up again. In its native state, in the damp and dewy forest, Fireball is an epiphytic tree and rock climber, not really needing soil but getting all its water and food magically dripped down into the center cup of each waiting plant. This central cradle is a tiny, private little pool for frogs and insects to raise their young and will hold the diminutive periwinkle blue flowers when it's time for that.
