6" Sansevieria Masoniana

$49.00

Whale Tail is named for its big ole paddle shaped leaves. It really looks like the last thing you glimpse of a diving whale; one big fin. Sometimes when you buy a Whale Tail all you get for a long time is one jumbo leaf. Super-slow growing, the leathery leaves spring up from thick, purple, underground rhizomes when they darn well please. And they don't please very often at that. They can get full, they can get tall. 4' specimens have been tracked down in the deepest, darkest jungle of the Congo, picture that! Painted a deep green with watery, paler green spots and edged with the thinnest ruby line, and as they are often sold as one single, monolithic leaf in a pot, the arrival of each new leaf is party time!
