New hybrid Vashon looks like a lot of the Agavoides bunch, small rosette of course, fat and thick succulent leaves, and a love of bright light up to full sun. Vashon is sometimes the soft aqua/blue green of many succulents grown in shadier places with the sunlight bringing a nice, bright yellowy lime color. The leaves are quite thick long diamond shaped, upturned tips and each leaf curved, rather than flat. Every plant, whether shade or sun, has a soft wash of red on each tip and the points are always a deep, bright red. In full sun in cool weather, the whole plant will blush a deep magenta/red, very dramatic, like many Agavoides Echeverias. Plants will get around 6" or so with offsets forming underneath, not covering a lot of space but preferring to form tight clusters. Flowers are tall, red pole stems with bright yellow, bell shaped blossoms like lights on a old fashioned street light.

- Water - Low (1): Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
- Light - High (5): Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
- Difficulty - Low (1): These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
