Subsessilis is Latin meaning something like "seated". Echeveria Subsessilis is seated low in its pot with petals reaching up like its palms are raised to the sky. The beautiful, perfectly balanced, rosette shape is what attracts us to Echeverias making us want to gaze into them like a peaceful lotus flower. Luminous with a clear, otherworldly glow in aqua lagoon blue, the center of the lotus has a translucent, sea green wash, drawing your eye to the center. Each almost identical leaf is a cupped, rounded petal with a pointed arch tip. The gorgeous flowers arrive in warm weather on quite long stalks in orangey pinks, much loved by hummingbirds. (and us!)
- Drought Tolerant
- Low Maintenance
- Pet Friendly
Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Low (1): Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
- High - (5): Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
- Difficulty - Low (1): These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
