Star Bright is a bright star of a Dieffenbachia, very flashy and colorful. Bushy and full, getting to just about 2', this star has all the habits of other Dieffs with some nice other points. Long (for a Dieffenbachia) leaves are slender lances ending in points and only a few inches wide, rather than the usual paddle-shaped leaves we expect in a Dieff. The lances point around to all points of the compass, round and round the strong, fleshy center stems. Colored in a pretty, watery lime to chartreuse, with drips, dots and spots of emerald green with the occasional bright white freckles, all this is contained on the leaves by a dark, rich green border. Star Bright's a hybrid cross in the 1990s in a Florida nursery, we are glad to have this nice, green, bushy and full pot of points in our homes.
