Melanie is a dark little thing with green to blackish burgundy, oval leaves of the decora with a nice shiny finish. Light green midribs divide the leaves, which arrive on the scene rolled up in a rubbery, red sleeve that slips off as the leaf unfurls. She's a pretty little thing standing in the corner growing into a typical Robusta small tree or bush shape with smooth stems, evenly branching and with leaves evenly spaced, looking great in a big pot or basket.

Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Medium (3): Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
- Light - Med/High (4): Needs more light than most, but direct light not necessary. Can handle morning and afternoon sun directly on leaves.
- Difficulty - Low (1): These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
