This Microsorum is another from the rainforest, of course, where most of our most fascinating and and beautiful houseplants originate. Crocodile's fronds are wrinkled tongues, all bent and crinkled, waving and flowing from the pot in soft, lime green. Deep set, darker green veins map the leaf surface forming regular little cells making a textured, pebbled surface reminiscent of a crocodile's skin. Add to all that little scaly bumps. Although it takes its time to grow, this could be a 5' Crocodile some day! (Maybe not quite so large in the house) This is a nice, sturdy houseplant, great in terrariums. Crocodile fern loves water and humidity, drying out a little faster than some ferns, so make him feel at home in your own rainforest of brilliant greens, exotic flowers, dappled shade, and refreshing showers and mists.

- Water - Med/High (4): Prefers more water than most, but soil can dry out periodically. Use a spray bottle to mist and increase humidity levels without soaking the soil and roots.
- Light - Med/High (4): Needs more light than most, but direct light not necessary. Can handle morning and afternoon sun directly on leaves.
- Difficulty - Low/Med (2): A little less finicky than most. Doesn't require much attention at all.
