Ficus Umbellata is a big, soft, ole umbrella tree for your spot that wants an airy and graceful tree. With none of the posing and drama of cousin Fiddle Leaf Fig, this one displays a calm and orderly growth. Big, heart-shaped leaves are soft, matte finish green, with darker green tinted, indented veins and borne on slim but strong stems. Each new leaf is a big event, each new leaf shyly facing in a different direction creating a balanced and harmonious shape. The baby leaves arrive in shiny olive green, then soften up as they grow. Relatively fast growing, Umbellata can get to over 10' but pruning for shape keeps it just where you want it.

- Water - Medium (3): Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
- Light - Med/High (4): Needs more light than most, but direct light not necessary. Can handle morning and afternoon sun directly on leaves.
- Difficulty - Med/High (4): A little more finicky than most. Requires some extra care.
