Ficus Shivereana Moonshine was discovered in Europe more than 60 years ago. It sure took a long time to get here! He's a hybrid (one of his rascal parents is unknown). In all respects, this is a Ficus Elastica, a rubber tree with pretty colors. Growing like the Elastica, a nice, medium sized, clean-lined, bushy fellow, you can treat him as such, although with the whites in the leaves he will appreciate more light. Now, about those leaves, you will see pine and emerald greens, lemon and lime, white and cream, all jumbled together in endless combinations, every leaf a work of art. New leaves have the added excitement of a rosy magenta wash and high gloss shine. They arrive pointing out with a pinky sheath that protects them and is shed when its safe. Some bronzy and red speckling can show up too. This handsome and sturdy guy needs you!
