One of the Hahnii types of Sansevieria, with Black Star you get the chubby, starryness and the super slow growth habit that makes these plants so easy and so loved. Black Star has satiny smooth, darkest, blackish-green leaves; wide pointed blades that lean this way and that but hold to the classic starry shape, with a striking, precise, bright yellow edge and leaves that are just a bit longer, making it a tall star. The best part is the color contrasts; so striking with the sharply drawn edges. The penchant for making babies round the bottom of the pot is a hallmark of the Hahniis and we love all the extra plants we get. Really needing no actual care at all except the rare watering, and maybe a dusting here and there, this is simply a dream plant for those of us who just plain forget to water. Like your mom.
