5" Monstera Adansonii 'Swiss Cheese'

$20.00
The charismatic Swiss Cheese plant is, of course, named for the many scattered holes in each leaf. Deep green, rumpled leaves have, if you look at them real close, a luminous, shimmering layer over the green. Subtle mottling of the greens add to the unruly look of the leaves. Coming from Mexico, this reckless trailer scales trees using aerial roots. It is thought by some the holes in the leaves allowed wind to pass through, keeping the plant stuck on its host. In captivity you can expect vigorous growth and long wonderful vines. Supported on a pole, the holey leaves of a mature plant can grow really large and the climber roots ropy and really long.
