X Fatshedera Lizei Variegated is a most interesting plant. Created in France in 1912, this is a most unusual hybrid of two different Genera, Fatsia Japonica and Hedera (Ivy). That explains the X at the front of the name. Capable of 4' height and 8' width, you get the vining, twining trailing of Ivy and the sturdy upright bushy, tree shape of Fatsia. 5 point star-shaped leathery leaves in fresh green edged with deep, creamy splashes are mapped with fine veins and get larger with maturity. The good thing is, this plant is whatever you want it to be! From a somewhat stiffly trailing plant in a pot (and great groundcover in temperate zones) to a nice, full bushy houseplant able to be pruned to any shape, to a tree-like guy with some judicious pruning and some time. Loving bright light, even a sunny window that doesn't get too hot, our Ivy Tree will keep its cream colors nice and fresh. Add to all that some yellow-white flowers now and then to look forward to.

Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Medium (3): Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
- High - (5): Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
- Difficulty - Low/Med (2): A little less finicky than most. Doesn't require much attention at all.
