Zeylanica is the workhorse of the Sansevieria bunch, seen everywhere: in offices, restaurants and homes. It's the most popular of the species for good reason. The smooth, dark green and pale green tigery leaves, growing tall and gently wavy, are almost indestructible. This is the one that inspired the name "snake plant", also called "viper's bowstring" in Africa, where the strong fibres inside the leaves were used for bows. Even the tall Sansevierias grow in the typical rosette shape, easier seen in the star-shaped small varieties. This plant requires so little care, you may even forget to dust it. It's like a faithful friend, always there for you.
