10" Schefflera Gold Capella

$60.00

Schefflera Arboricola is a bushy bush from Taiwan and China where it lives as a beautiful freestanding tree, or, surprisingly, can be found opportunistically clinging to the trunk of a larger tree, thriving as an epiphyte, snagging fallen leaf debris and dripping and misting water from the forest canopy. In the wild, or just planted outside in our temperate zone gardens, the plant can reach 25' but is tamer indoors getting more like 6'. Small branches and close set leaves make it super easy to prune for shape. The leaves look like hands, with shiny, loopy, oval, emerald green fingers radiating in a circle from a dot in the center. Classified as a flowering plant, the early fall blooms are rarely seen. Variegated has a lovely creamy yellow added to the leaves.
