South African Frizzle Sizzle is just a crazy looking plant with crazy, hairy, green springs that spring from the centers of fat, squatty, greeny brown bulbs. Such a silly! Only growing 8" high, Frizzle needs a special pot on a table or counter, to admire it up close. A few underplanted in the soil of a big palm or dracaena add such interest and fun! Blooms arise on 12" stalks looking like little golden lanterns lighting the way. In pale greens and yellows, the petals point straight down with the sepals flying away to the side, and have a lovely vanilla scent. Be patient during the flowering to trim off the brown tips you may have, as Frizzle sends all its energy (and thoughts and prayers) to the blooms.
