4" Ebracteola wilmaniae SQ

$10.00

This plant was discovered growing in northwest areas of South Africa and named for South African botanist Maria Wilman, and also bears the regal moniker of Prince Albert Vygie, being native to the Karoo desert near the town of Prince Albert there. Clumpy, soft blue/green, softly triangular fingers reach up only a couple of inches high, waving gently like a sea anemone in a tidepool, and slowly spreading and making little family groups, sprouted friends on the side so close that they crowd and snuggle each other. Winter's cool weather brings a nice lavender shading; look real close and see tiny, pebbly stippling dots, green on the blue/green leaves, darker purple on the lavender tinted leaves. Single bright lavender to pink frilly, dandelion flowers rise from the plant sometimes with the many petals dipped and tipped in a deeper color, with yellow dots in the center. A simple, attractive succulent alone in a pot or mix with green and orangey/red plants in a colorful pot arrangement. Try a Coppertone Sedum and Crassula Watchchain for a lively colorful mix. SQ means it's in a square pot.

Quick Care Guide:

    • Water - Low (1):  Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
    • Light - High - (5):  Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
    • Difficulty - Low (1):  These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
