This funky little Philodendron comes to us from one seed collected on a plant in the magical land of Xanadu! No, actually the Brazilian jungle where it lushly fills in the rainforest floor at the feet of tall jungle trees and ferns. Used abundantly as a subtropical landscape plant in lots of balmy, temperate locales, it's a most excellent houseplant as well. With a fat, bunchy shape, it gets fuller and fuller while staying in a mound of 2' to 4' in the home. Planted outdoors it gets somewhat larger, but keeps its pleasing round shape. The leaves are medium green, deeply lobed with long fingers on the edges. The midribs and veins are pronounced and lighter green. Don't let the fancy leaves fool you, it's such a bulletproof plant! So easy to have around.
