Engaging String of Bananas is an easy going, almost fail-proof plant to have hanging around. The only rules are, don't overwater it and this is one plant, of all the plants in our Shop, that wants that direct sun on its leaves for most of the day. (You know how we tell you, "no direct sun" on almost everything?) Hang it right in a sunny window. The pots are stuffed with a troop of shiny, juicy, 1" banana-shaped leaves in a nice, satisfying green, on thin stems spilling over the pots to great lengths. Look closely at a leaf and see the little translucent window strip designed to let light into the leaf's insides. To add to the fun of a swarm of bananas tumbling down forever is a daisy-like aromatic flower here and there that smells like cloves and cinnamon. Bananas like to be dry and rootbound and left alone, perfect!
