Vriesea Energy is a gorgeous bromeliad patented in 2007 by a plant inventor in the Netherlands. Fountain shaped with graceful, shiny green blades that reach up and out; the leaves end in a curved under tip and point and some leaves have a thumbprint dimple near the end. Why, we don't know. Vibrant, fiery red and yellow, branched flower spikes display vibrant yellow flowers, with the blooms lasting a very long time. The leaves and flower spikes start out deep in the central cup that Bromeliads are famous for that catch showers, mists, and droplets of water, hitting the leaves and funneling down to the little pond to save for drinks later for itself and little rainforest creatures that may happen by. You can add water to it and water the soil when it becomes dry, but just be sure not to bless it with too much water.

Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Medium (3): Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
- Light - Med/High (4): Needs more light than most, but direct light not necessary. Can handle morning and afternoon sun directly on leaves.
- Difficulty - Low (1): These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
