Cutlass, named for its long, pirate knife-shaped leaves slashing out in all directions, is all sharp blades of matte, silvery sage edged in dark green, with green midveins and splotches. Rising out of the center, the smooth leaves reach upwards, then cut away to the side; oldest ones' sharp tips point downward. With an open, airy look, Cutlass gets to about 2' to 3', and a couple of feet wide when full grown. Younger, smaller plants can sit on tables or shelves, on your desk, and larger ones are so nice in a tall pot or a rustic basket on the ground.
