6" Kalanchoe Daigremontiana "Mother of Thousands"

We have run out of stock for this item.

Succulent Mother of Thousands makes babies like crazy. Looking like she's made of rubber, her wavy, milky green pairs of leaves with fancy, frilly, lacy, edges of teeny, perfect little plantlets cling onto mommy until they are brushed off or decide to let go and fly to the soil below. Once there, they readily root and become new mothers themselves. In fact, they are so prolific you will have to keep the numbers down or they'll take over your house. Treat her like any succulent, full sun to bright light is preferred. Super slow growing, she can take more than 10 years to reach her possible 5' tall. Sunshine on the leaves can cause her to blush a purply glow. P.S. She's a hero as well, containing a substance in the leaves that's being investigated as a cancer cure, and showing real promise!

  • Low Maintenance
  • Drought Tolerant

    Quick Care Guide:

      • Water - Low (1):  Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
      • High - (5):  Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
      • Difficulty - Low (1):  These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
