Homalomena is a very basic looking green plant. Large, heart-shaped leaves in a medium green with deeply recessed veins on upright reddish stems give us a plant that resembles a Philodendron. Full and lush growing, it looks beautiful in a simple basket. Low light tolerance and not needing water very often make Homalomena an easy care choice. The leaves have a nice mild anise smell and it is reputed to have some medicinal qualities.

Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Medium (3): Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
- Light - Low/Med (2): These plants need some diffused light to stay happy. Prefers if there is a window in the room, but doesn't need to be very light nor close to it.
- Difficulty - Med (3): Not too difficult to keep happy, but does require some attention.
