4" Cryptanthus Fosterianus 'Rose Gold'

$18.00

We have run out of stock for this item.

Cryptanthus are very cool and unique members of the Bromeliad clan. The Latin name Cryptanthus means "hidden flower", for the small, meager white flowers. Seen from above you get a crumpled star shape of the strangest, stiffest ever leaves with crimped sawtooth edges banded in silver, pinks, reds, black and purples.  As natives anchored in the fertile, leaf litter, composty soil at the feet of trees of Brazilian jungles, they like to dream they're still in their jungle home in our own jungle homes. Bathrooms and kitchens are our dewiest rooms so if there's bright light there, that's where they crave to be.
