Senecio String of Tears has nothing to cry about: very similar to its cousin the String of Pearls, but features more oblong-shaped, pointy ended beads that resemble teardrops. Growing very closely together on thin vines, the String of Tears weeps and tumbles over the edges of its pot, thickly covering it like it thickly covered the ground in its natal Namibia. Each little teardrop features a little see-through strip that lets light into the interior of the plant, a trick it learned in the searing heat of its homeland. The Tears will flower with a daisy/dandelion type bloom that is very fragrant with a scent to some people like cinnamon and others cloves.
