4" Philodendron 'Silver Sword'

$24.00

Silver Sword is a scintillating member of the Philodendrons, a must-have for Philo lovers. Part of its botanical name, "Hastata" means spear. The sword blade leaves of shimmery, satiny silver stand guard, facing out in all directions. Youthful leaves have a long oval contour, maturing into huge arrowhead shapes like gigantic Syngoniums, capable of achieving 18" or more. Jointed, angular, bright green stems zigzag back and forth, brandishing its silvery swords up to a possible 10'. It certainly reaches that long in its native Brazilian rainforests, usually clinging to a perch on the trunk of a tree, but this wild thing may be closer to 6' in our own urban jungles, but, you never know!
