Like the familiar Emerald Ripple Peperomia we've had a long time; Peperomia Caperata emerging on the plant scene in 1958 with lots of hybrids following, new Amazonas is a moundy little bush of wrinkles and greens. Growing to a trim size of around 12" around mostly, there are a few differences from Ripple. Pink petioles display deeply rippled leaves in bright, fresh, grassy green, a little lime on the edges and some leaves just come out more lime than grassy. Those deepset, branchy veins are a deep pine green. Instead of the definite heart shape of Emerald Ripple these are hearts with a definite pointy tip and are slightly reaching upwards. If you like Peperomias, this is a nice addition to your bunch.
