The Hoya Australis has been well known since the 1700's, gracing our plant collections with its robust style. Epiphytic in nature, where it can reach an impressive length of 10', it also grows in the ground in Australia, where it was first found growing crawling around on the coastline, hence the name. Bright emerald, waxy, and super shiny oval leaves grow close enough together on the stems to make this plant nice and full. A burgundy bronze coats the new leaves and viny growing tips. Happy as can be in a hanging pot, that is the perfect place to see the regular bloom of a constellation of little white stars with bright magenta centers, which smell heavenly.
