Gold Dust is rightly named given the brilliant yellow & white specklespots splattered and splashed all over the shiny, emerald green leaves. This hardy Croton comes to us from the steamy, subtropical rainforests of the Pacific islands and Asia. They have forgiven us for moving them here to our drier climes by growing with as much enthusiam as ever. Growing up to a 10' specimen in that natural habitat, we can expect a more reasonable size of 2' to 3' tall as our houseplant. The thin, woody stems support a multitude of leaves growing all around each stem in all directions, giving the plant a pleasant plumpness. To keep that yellow yellow, the Gold Dust craves bright light. Not to worry, as it grows taller, it will continue to get fuller, but will naturally drop some leaves now and then. This plant is a cheerful fellow and adds a ton of color to any collection.
