Fun little Mathilde was named for a Belgian princess by her Belgian hybridizer, Emilio Beguine in Belgium. A simple cross gave us this fast growing, easy to grow, tough little Hoya. The emerald green, waxy, thick leaves are closely spaced on their strong, red, wiry vines, each leaf rounded and leaf shaped, some slightly folded and in some plants the leaves are completely flat rounds with nice flecks of waxy silver. Fast growing, vigourous, climbing and trailing, this Hoya behaves like the best of its relatives sending out vines everywhere. The lovely flowers are like the Carnosa's, little bouquets of white wax 5 point stars with a tiny, white, 5 point center star, in the center of that a small burgundy spot and in that a teeny stick figure of a yellow point star. They are sweetly fragrant and hang down, bunches of bouquets to a plant. Peer closely at the flowers and see what looks like fuzzy fur, they look like teddy bear stars (but the fuzz is waxy, not soft)

Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Low/Med (2): Doesn't need as much water, but doesn't like to stay dry for too long. Plant will become droopy when really thirsty.
- Light - Med/High (4): Needs more light than most, but direct light not necessary. Can handle morning and afternoon sun directly on leaves.
- Difficulty - Low (1): These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
