Amate is slightly unruly and rumpled, a casual sort of plant. New, soft palmate leaves of brilliant, shiny chartreuse age and harden to a bright neon green. The petioles and stems they are borne on are a rich, burgundy. Able to reach a height of 10' and width of 5' even indoors, they benefit from shape pruning to keep them fitting your space. Brightest indirect light is required to keep the vibrant coloring.
