4" Pilea Bronze Aluminum

Aluminum plant is an epiphytic native of Vietnam. Named for the striking little pairs of dark green, quilted leaves with raised silvery pads, the reddish stems complete the color show. The leaf margins are cut into a little scalloped edges and if that's not enough, the leaves are covered in tiny silver hairs. It's not a large plant, 12" high by 8" wide is the norm. Aluminum loves humidity like most Pileas, loving a terrarium environment, and can even live in an aquarium! 

Water: During Spring and summer the top 1/2 inch should stay moist. During Fall and Winter watering can wait until the top 1-2” of soil is dry.
