Coming to us from Australia and New Guinea rainforests is the clownish little Jester Crown fern. A clumpy and compact Boston-type fern, this guy will reach 2" by 2" in your own home rainforest. In warmer areas of the country, it does very well in the ground outside in gardens, even somewhat cold hardy. Perky, short, sword shaped fronds in vibrant green poke sturdily up with the ends curving in an appealing curl, giving it the appearance and name of Jester's cap for its similarity to the curls on a court jester's traditional cap. This is a super easy way to have the delicate look of a lovely fern with no fuss care requirements.
