4" Anthurium, Matata Pink

$19.00

Popular Anthuriums are loved for their marvelous flowers and super strong plants, super easy to care for. Stiff triangle to heart shaped leaves of deep green point out on stiff red/purple/green stems. The flower is the main attraction in Anthuriums, with a modified leaf (the spathe) as what we usually think of as the flower, and the true flower, a small stem sticking up from the base of the spathe (the spadix) is covered in teeny, tiny, true blossoms. The flowers last for weeks and flowering season is all year, making these perfect gifts for all occasions, and always can be found blooming. Matata Pink has the most different, large and lovely flowers. Long, oval hearts, the flower edges curving and flouncing up like a dancer's skirt flutter and wave. Pinks, whites, greens and roses vie for attention, each flower a totally original pattern of colors, with the added excitement of an occasional leaf kinda narrowing and flouncing and sporting a flash of rosy pinks as if it wants to be a flower too. Lots of flowers bloom at once, and often too.

Quick Care Guide:

  • Water - Med/High (4):  Prefers more water than most, but soil can dry out periodically. Use a spray bottle to mist and increase humidity levels without soaking the soil and roots.
  • Light - Medium (3):  Plant prefers natural, diffused light. Can be placed in a spacious living room. Indirect light preferred. No direct sunlight on leaves.
  • Difficulty - Low/Med (2):  A little less finicky than most. Doesn't require much attention at all.
