Beguiling Begonia Maculata, the Polka Dot Begonia, is a bit of comic relief in plant collecting. Silvery, silly, spots on an ethereal, asymmetrical, dark green, angel wing of a leaf that sweeps off to one side or another make up a graceful and delicate looking thing. Jointy, angular, pale green and red stems and flashes of red underleaves add pretty color accents. Actually it's somewhat hardy set in the right place and watered carefully and misted here and there. It's just those spots that make it so fun! Put it next to lime green or red and pink plants for an interesting mix.

- Water - Medium (3): Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
- Light - Medium (3): Plant prefers natural, diffused light. Can be placed in a spacious living room. Indirect light preferred. No direct sunlight on leaves.
- Difficulty - Medium (3): Not too difficult to keep happy, but does require some attention.
