Calathea Setosa comes to us from damp and steamy Central and South American jungles. He's just beautiful in your North American jungle too. Tall and graceful and airy, he displays his silvery grey, satin finished, oval leaves with striking emerald green, offset slashes with long, purply, slim and hairy legs (stems). Setosa means hairy. The leaves point this way and that as if leaning in to listen to what each other is saying. Their undersides are a pretty, pinkish purple which you will see when he folds his leaves up in prayer for your family and friends every night. Like most Calatheas, Setosa would love to be near other plants for the company and extra humidity (he just loves misting and distilled water to drink). This tall fellow can get 3' high and looks quite handsome with bright, fresh, green ferns and purply or red leafy friends underneath (he just loves to show off his colors). You'll love this guy!

Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Med/High (4): Prefers more water than most, but soil can dry out periodically. Use a spray bottle to mist and increase humidity levels without soaking the soil and roots.
- Light - Medium (3): Plant prefers natural, diffused light. Can be placed in a spacious living room. Indirect light preferred. No direct sunlight on leaves.
- Difficulty - Medium (3): Not too difficult to keep happy, but does require some attention.
