4" Echeveria Derenbergii Pai

$8.00

This native of Oaxaca was named for Julius Derenburg, an eminent German Doctor with a love for plant studies and collection who lived in the late 1800's to early 1900's. Another of those rosettes we all love, this one doesn't just stay put and behave nice and flat like other rosettes, but rises up a bit on its stalk, keeping the lower leaves on much longer than other plants. The result is sort of fat pyramid, quite lush and full. There are tons of pups of all sizes and ages popping out of the mature rosettes, making nice, dense clumps. Colored in a milky, luminous, blue/green, the leaves are spade shaped with a definite, short red point. Here and there, in some plants, some magenta outlines the leaves. Prolific flowers are very short, shaggy stems with little orangy/red yellow bells. Very, very easy to grow!

  • Drought Tolerant
  • Pet Friendly
  • Low Maintenance

Quick Care Guide:

    • Water - Low (1):  Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
    • High - (5):  Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
    • Difficulty - Low (1):  These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
