4" Echeveria Glauca

$8.00

Mexican nativo Glauca is also called Echeveria Blue, but glauca means whitish and we see a whitish/blue on ours, although some plants can be pretty darn blue. The typical Echeveria rosette shape (rosette means little rose but this is actually a big rose, up to 8"), grows round and round, little rounded leaves from the center grow to around 2" with an attractive curved tip ending in a nice, little, soft point. Direct sunlight and cold weather bring reddish/pink shading on the leaf edges and tips; many Echeverias color up dramatically in their idea of a stressful time. Lots of pups will quickly gather around the plant, as it likes its extended family around, which you can separate and pot up or leave for a full pot of Glaucas. It's a "hen and chicks" plant with tons of chicks. The flower is a tall, pinkish stem bearing bright red, pointed lanterns with yellow insides each curving down to light the way.

Quick Care Guide:

    • Water - Low (1):  Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
    • High - (5):  Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
    • Difficulty - Low (1):  These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
