There are so many different kinds of ferns, this Golden Zebra is Coniogramme emeiensis and also a member of the Pteridacae family we are quite familiar with. Check out the couple of other Pteris Ferns we stock, each unique fern so very different from each other. Our Golden Zebra is so different! Called "Bamboo Fern" in its natal China where it flourishes on Mount Emei in wild, wet, lonely and mossy places in its favored limestone soil, it creeps along rhizomes to make a lush, full clump, but oh so slowly. Just a coupla feet around and 18" or so high overall. Thin, wiry green stems rise from the rhizomes and hold fronds with many regular, alternately spaced, pointed pinnae fingers, painted in a brilliant fresh lime to emerald green. Each finger has a deep green midrib and outline, with tons of brightest neon yellow/green dashes (Golden Zebra stripes!) pinstriping them from midrib slanting to edge. That edge, if you look closely, is serrated with a teeny toothy decoration too. Fronds gracefully arc and wave, curving to the side to make room for more; the whole fern is vibrant and exciting, nothing calm here.

Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Med/High (4): Prefers more water than most, but soil can dry out periodically. Use a spray bottle to mist and increase humidity levels without soaking the soil and roots.
- Light - Med/High (4): Needs more light than most, but direct light not necessary. Can handle morning and afternoon sun directly on leaves.
- Difficulty - Low/Med (2): A little less finicky than most. Doesn't require much attention at all.
