The Heart Fern was first spotted growing high in jungle trees of southeast Asia in 1859. This little sweetheart will also be completely happy to live in your own shady glen. Flat, hairy stems flourish flat, hairy, emerald green, wrinkly and leathery, long heart shaped fronds, growing into a bushy little shape with most of the foliage the same height. It loves steamy terrariums and bright bathrooms and kitchens. Some valuable medicines made from Heart Fern are for diabetes and heart valves. Who doesn't want a pot full of hearts?

- Water - Med/High (4): Prefers more water than most, but soil can dry out periodically. Use a spray bottle to mist and increase humidity levels without soaking the soil and roots.
- Light - Med/High (4): Needs more light than most, but direct light not necessary. Can handle morning and afternoon sun directly on leaves.
- Difficulty - Low/Med (2): A little less finicky than most. Doesn't require much attention at all.
