Piccolo Banda is a newcomer to the plant world. A compact, rounded shape that grows more full than tall makes this a perfect countertop or desk plant. Pretty, deeply quilted, heart shaped leaves of luminous silver and sage green are boldly accented with veins of pine green to rich burgundy. The texture is somehow deep and velvety looking but rougher and puckery to the touch. Bright red stems and occasional pale green flower spires add to the colorful mix. This guy likes to dry out between waterings, having thick, succulent type leaves, and likes warm temps like most Peperomias, giving them the nickname "Radiator Plant" as they often graced the tops of radiators or a shelf nearby for a warm spot in the olden days.
